The straw is especially suited for chickens, goats, sheep, cattle rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs and other small animals. Chopped straw is an excellent choice in all-natural and biodegradable bedding for livestock. It is not for equine, since horses may eat it and then have digestive problems. The straw is cut into easy-to-manage pieces that are ideal for bedding, insulation and household projects. It is noxious weed-free and safe to use in national parks. This absorbent material is comprised of naturally sun-cured premium barley or wheat straw. Just like you would expect, the material is biodegradable, degradable, decomposable, compostable and has no synthetic components. That means the straw contains no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, or added vitamins or minerals. It is free from bisphenol A, polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins.
