The Black Diamond Carbon Whippet ski pole is a specialty two-piece pole with a removable steel pick. That ice-axe like pick can give you extra traction on steep high consequence terrain. With the ClickLock dial you can remove the pick from the handle in case you do not need it. Without the pick you have a strong and durable two-piece skitouring pole with an extra grip bellow the handle for extra hand position options during traverses. The upper part is made from Alumunium, the lower from Carbon. Carbo also neutralizes vibrations so you get a more precise and comfortable skipole. The handle is made from dual density soft touch rubber that grips really good and is comfortable. The FlickLock Pro length adjustment is strong and easy to use even with gloves on. This is an adventurous ski pole you might need on those epic tours. Sold per single pole, not per set.
