Taking cues from their range-topping models, Trek has ensured that the Marlin 5 is a highly capable XC MTB that wont break the bank, ideal for those just starting out! Built with Treks Alpha Silver Aluminium, the frame is lightweight, stiff and robust ideal for tearing up the trails, while the internal routing keeps any cables and hoses out of sight and away from the elements. The Suntour XCT 30 suspension fork features 100mm of travel, more than enough to tackle the trail features with confidence, and the Bontrager XR2 Comp 2.2 tyres keep things grippy on loose ground. Smooth and consistent shifting comes courtesy of Shimanos 2×8-speed drivetrain, paired with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes for a seriously dependable setup.
